Soooo, I've been gone for a minute...haven't blogged much. Guess I'll catch y'all up on what I've been up to. Friday, I had my first speech in communications...I wore this. The pattern of this shirt is insane. My dad bought this for my little brother in Indonesia in 95 I think. This is genuine retro you see riiiighthurrcuh. lol:


Yhe speech was title "any old bag" and the objective required each student to bring in 3 items that represent your past, present and future. For my past, I brought in this stuffed animal my mum bought for me in the gift shop in the hospital back in 2006 after my surgery.
For my present, I brought in my phone charger to express that I finally know what I want out of life and I am actively pursuing it. I am in plugged IN to life.
For my future, I brought in my lens cap. And, that was to show that I'm trying to turn something I love into a business. Photography being my main focus....for now... but yeah. It went smooth, barely felt nervous.

Ummm my outfit day before yesterday. I felt like I've been looking exceptionally boyish in the past week or so. Sooooo I threw a skirt on like what the heck...lol
Oh and I brought back this, I guess you can call it a fashion statement (??) Anyways, yeah I used to do this little thing in middle school: wear a mixmatching earrings. I actually used to wear two earrings in the one hole that I have 'cause I was scared to ask my mom if I could get a second piercing. haha. smh...anyways, yeah I'm gonna start mixmatching my earrings again. ^_^

I sooo wanted to take these pictures right on the road but then I thought it'd be too riskayyy. I put enough of my life on the internet, you all do NOT need to know or have an idea where I live. LOL Plus, it was hot as all hell which discouraged my adventurous spirit. So yeahhh, this is me yesterday. I looked really boyish and literally got dressed in less than 10 minutes.... ---Yet, I got so much compliments. It's cool though. I'm glad people respect my fresh....even on my simple days. ^_^

Not too long ago, I approached @theeMAINEvent via twitter about a feature. It was supposed to be the usual email interview but thankfully, my mans @MookieX took the initiative to take it to THE next level ---turn the simple email interview into a video. It's crazy 'cause this is what I wanted to do earlier in the summer but I wasn't acquainted with any videographers. He did an excellent job, actually I wish the noise in the background was cleaned up and kept at a minimal but it still came out great. Take a look at the video and to get well acquainted with an amazing talent, Jermaine Maynard, his flow is crazy!!!:

SOMEBODY'S GOTTA DO SOMETHING

Monday was the first day of school. Classes went great and all. I finally had an encounter with my FIRST black professor.....and it's a female, annnnnd her name is STEPHANIE. How cool, right? Yeah she's amazing so far and everything else went smooth. Barely anyone could recognize me, that was great lol. Made it EASIER for me cut the unnecessary people out myyy life...






PLEASE excuse my pale ass feet. -____- If you look closer, you can see the tan lines. Amazes me how my feet is tanned, yet it pictured so pale. smh lol!!! ughhh. Those moccasins are absolutely comfortable. I recommend a pair for each and everybody...seriously!!!

STRAIGHT PACE, DENIM AND LACE

Long story short, these were taken Saturday when I touched down in Greensboro. LOL the train actually got in 30 minutes earlier than it was supposed to, so I had to wait for my sister at the station. While waiting, this Asian chick walked out armed with a Nikon Coolpix so I figured, she ought to know her way around a DSLR, no? She took the two pics of me in front of the station...then the rest of the pics are from when I got to the cribington! lol...








I slept so restlessly on the entire ride, does it show?
oh oh oh, P.S.: I scored that Levi's denim jacket at a thrift store for a cool $45. It's usually $90+ ...so yeah, quite the deal. ^_^

AND THE BEAT GOES ON

Also from the day in the previous post. This was while I was waiting for the salesperson to bring me my moccasins. Which I had to buy a size bigger because well, that's all they had. I wear a size 9 but got 'em in a 10. I don't mind though seeing as ONE foot is indeed bigger than the other and for me, my right foot is bigger...lmao random TEFFY fact. ^_^ :

JUST ME AND MY TANK TOP

So before leaving NYC actually I was upstate at my mom's place upstate till Monday (which is when the cheeseburger in paradise post went down) then on TUESDAY, I headed into the city to do some shopping before leaving for school. BUT the thing is, my doctor called me back for some tests that were overlooked and I had to sign stuff, just total chaos and basically throwing a monkey wrench in my entire plans. So, I had to rush upstate on Thursday, go to the doc's Friday morning then head back to the city immediately AFTER the appointment. YES, it was as stressful as it sounds. So while waiting for the Coach bus, I took some pics at the stop. Why, yes I have no shame. I'll take pics any/everywhere if I get the urge to....it's what I do. Oh this is also the same day the day with tribe x 2 happened. And I also took pictures while I was shopping and such...

A DAY WITH THE TRIBE x 2

My last night in NYC was spent with The Tribe. Well, the semi last part of it. I was in SoHo like alll day doing some last minute shopping.
