The movie came out so dope, well put together, great directing and allllat.I spy some familiar faces. I love the movie as a whole BUT I can't help but to admit my favorite scene is the lunch scene. The gym scene is dope as well.

BADUIZM

I wouldn't call myself a big fan of Erykah Badu the artist but I do enjoy her music. I don't own all of her albums, never been in attendance to a live show, none of that dedicated fan stuff. HOWEVER, I am a BIG fan of who she is...Erykah Badu the individual. She's so free, expressive and just all around amazing. I bet she gives off great energy! Ahh, I just wanna hug her. And yes, I do mean for that to sound as creepy as possible. hehe. I say that to say this, my "headwrap" in the following photographs is reminiscent of something Erykah has done. At the moment, I wasn't thinking of her when I wrapped it up though. I was more of reflecting on the fact that I am of Nigerian decent and our women do tend to tie over sized scarves on their heads; it's tradition. Additionally, I was reflecting on the fact that I was not in the mood to pick my hair out that morning. ha! Anyway doe. Let the photograph posting commence...




I wouldn't be me if I didn't express my silly ways in a picture. lol I don't even know what provoked that facial expression. I know one of 'em is blurry; I took these picture literally in the course of 5 minutes. I was about to head to campus!

In all my 21 years of living, I have never owned a pair of Jordans (crowd goes crazy...."raaaa raaaa") lol YES! EYE know. I really want these. I've been talking about getting a pair since last summer so when I learned these were due to drop in January 2011 last August through a friend,I immediately began fiending. I will get 'em. I kind of did my calculations wrong. I could've sworn I was supposed to be balling out of control by now. But they will be mine.

Named this post after one of my favorite movies from my childhood. If you're familiar with it, you're the bomb. If not, get familiar. So far, this has to be my most favorite self shoot. Every shot came out EXACTLY how I envisioned! I am my own favorite canvas. I'm very fastidious about the work I put out. It has to completely possess a character about it that screams "teff did THAT!" otherwise I will.not.put.it.out. But moving on...check 'em out ^_^

THE ROYAL RAMBLE VOL.1

Introducing a new segment to my blog titled "The Royal Ramble" ( I'll be vlogging this as well! ). Lately, I've felt as though I've only been putting forth half of my heart into THIS blog. My tumblr has been getting much too much attention. My recent posts has strictly consisted of me writing a brief commentary and moving on. When I first started this blog, I had a segment where I would just write up random shit wellll, this is sort of a continuation of that. Well, more like a rebirth of it. Here I go: ...oh no, wait -- I seem to have lost my train of thought. Don't you hate it when that happens? No, you know what I hate? Feeling discouraged. Whether it's brought on by others actions or mine, it's annoying as fuck. I also hate cheese. But somehow, I still manage to it. Why? Why do I write stuff in courier font for emphasis? Why do people have unnecessarily long names on Facebook nowadays? That shit puts so much fright in me. Why are there blogs where authors offer strictly have negative shit to say? I guess that's equivalent to asking "why are there negative people in the world?" I came across this blog on Monday, the author ripped off my Fun & Inspirational shit
bit and didn't even have the decency to put me on their blogroll (lol)
THE nerve. I was mad initially but if I'm not doing something worthy of emulating, then I ain't doing shit. Glad I am able to inspire.
That's all I have for now. The chaotic nature of my life right now is crippling my ability to gather my thoughts and mold 'em into words. Next segment will be a video.

Fast forward to shower and dressing and alllllat. lol I was looking in the mirror while indulging a big ol' bowl of fruity loops and realized I have a photo shoot later on today ( meaning I won't get to take a picture of today's outfit ) so I scrambled and rushed to take these. Meanwhile, my sister was yelling at me to hurry up. haha.

Magnificent. I'm going into crazy fits of laughter and giggles off of how ingenious the concept is. You know that moment when you learn of something so amazing, you start giggling in a childish manner 'cause you're overwhelmed and can't find the right words to express how you feel? lol yeaahhhh this is one of those moments. I love the John Lennon shades. That's what I call 'em because that's who's known to wear 'em. If they go by any other name, please inform me. So this semester, I was lucky enough to get Tuesdays off!!! Yayyy but as you guys should know by now, my damn laptop is messed up, meaning I have to go to school to use the computer regardless. One of my classes is completely online. Soooo...yeah, you get the gist. I was really aiming for the element of comfort. lol I have to be comfortable in anything I wear. Period.

NO*14: SOHO SAILING

These are photos from the last shoot I did before leaving NY. I promise you, no exaggeration, we trekked all over the SoHo and NoHo area searching for spots suitable for back drops for the photos! lol. We met up around 11am and didn't round up till around 4. Yeah shit was severe but it was all worth it. Perhaps, I need a team. Ehh, I work better alone. I did the makeup and assisted in styling. For the most part, she had an idea of what she wanted her looks to look like.
I mixed up both edited and unedited shots. You can probably tell which I edited and allllat...

Ever since my laptop decided to call it quits on me months ago, I've had to spend a little bit too much time at my school's computer lab. -____- ekhhh. Anyways, I went out to lunch on Friday with my frann Malina; we went Steak & Shake and had the bomb ass grilled chicken sandwich. Woo!

ODE TO JANU-WEARY

First, I'll ask that you pay attention to the last time I updated this blog! Yes! January 7th! lol the day before I left New Yawk chitty and headed back to school. Got back on the 8th. Classes were supposed to start on the 10th but we had a series of snow days; took away 3 days meaning umm NO spring break for me. If I do get any kind of break, it'll be a Friday and the weekend. (Weak!!!)
I still don't feel like I'm in school at the moment but I've been occupied with getting other shit together. It's been almost 2 weeks since I've done a photo shoot just for the fun of it so I've been running around tryna get details together and match up schedules and alllat. WOOO! But moving on, I've been attempting to do this 365 challenge thing. If you're a photographer of acquainted with the idea of the 365 challenge. Basically, you take pictures every day blah blah. I gather it's to track your progress over the course of the year and such. BUT seeing as I haven't updated this blog in a while, I won't even bother to post the pictures from that. I'll just start by posting pics of my outfit on Wednesday and we'll go from there. Cool?
