VIDEO: COMMON x "BLUE SKY"

As I have stated a number of times, I am always pleased with the works of Common . This is currently one of my favorite tracks. If my iPod was not currently malfunctioning, I would have this, along with many others, in constant rotation. Definitely anticipating the release of "The Dreamer, The Believer."-- I believe it's due sometime this month.

VIDEO: COMMON x "THE GAME"

Directed by: Nabil

"I never kissed the ass of the masses, I am the Black molasses.

What's most enjoyable about artists of intellect, culture and substance, much like Common, is the conveyance of their indisputable loyalty to their art. The likes of The Soulquarians and most underground-rappers feed my love for music in a manner none other genre can. Their presence in the music-world is, to me, beyond appreciated.

AUDIO: COMMON x "BLUE SKY" | PROD. BY NO I.D.

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us

"Blue sky" is the second single to be released from Common's upcoming album titled, "The Dreamer, The Believer", set to be released on November 22nd. And he just released a book very recently? Wow. Amazing. I can boldly state that I am yet to hear a Common track that I am/was not pleased with. What is most admirable and respectable about Common as an artist, is his dedication and sheer humility. It is evident in his music, in his acting career; he strives to deliver in a manner that pleases both him and his audience.

VIDEO: BLACK STAR x COMMON x "RESPIRATION"

Let's take it back to the streets of New York circa 1998.
For those of you who are unaware, "Black Star" is the collective-musical-efforts of Mos Def and Talib Kweli. And...this is precisely how I like my Hip-Hop.

VIDEO: G.O.O.D MUSIC x BET AWARDS CYPHER

And they saved the G.O.O.D for last...

Much love and respect to BIG SEAN
for not disappointing me. I already expect genius from Common. And as for Cyhi the prince? I blogged about him months ago! Had NO idea he got signed to G.O.O.D music. They all ripped it.
