AUDIO: KENDRICK LAMAR x "SWIMMING POOLS" [DRANK]

- Came into the realization that my blog has been missing a bit of none other than the sounds of the amazing King Kendrick himself. Fortunately, my ears just got blessed with his newest track titled, "swimming pools (drank)" and it immediately dawned on me, "this is exactly what I've been lacking - a bit of Kendrick Lamar." He still holds the title as one of my favourites (I really want to call him a rising Artist, but he is apparently above that) simply because he continues to remain engulfed by the ability to deliver in a manner that commands.

Filmed by: APlusFilmz.

Kendrick's cover-track titled, "Look out for detox" over one of my favourite Childish Gambino tracks, "you know me" off of Culdesac is literal lyrical-insanity. Kendrick released this track over a year ago shortly prior to the release of (O)verly (D)edicated. It displeases me to admit that I am just now gaining familiarity with this track. This would've been the moment my Love for him began.

I wonder what prompted him to release a visual for it after all this while. Whatever it was, whatever the case, I am overflowing with joy.

VIDEO: THE "ME" SERIES x KENDRICK LAMAR

Directed by: David Black
What strikes me as most alluring aspect of the artist that is Kendrick Lamaris his ability to seem and be just that: an artist. It is no news to those of you who either know me personally, or are familiar with this blog that Kendrick is, in my eyes, incomparable to most artists currently in the upcoming scene. His music provides me with a delightful degree of insight and substance. I can not express that enough. Thankful to have had the privilege to meet his acquaintance. Thankful to be able to listen to his music on a daily basis. Thankful for his existence in the music-world, period. Words can't express how much of an inspiration he serves to me, and we're only, what? 2 years apart in age? Just goes to show: inspiration knows no realms, no boundaries, no limits. Respect.

VIDEO: TALIB KWELI x KENDRICK LAMAR [LIVE]

I've been rendered speechless. If someone could honestly and boldly state that Kendrick Lamar lacks as an artist, they might want to dedicate some time to rediscovering the distinction between art and bullshit. I wonder if this is a freestyle. I need it on iPod as bad as I need this next breath I am about to take. Funny I stated I was rendered speechless, then proceeded to unveil all this unnecessary bullshit. Not that my opinion is bullshit. And I'm still typing away. And you're still reading. I now own your mind. Bye.

If you've been following my blog for long enough, you should be well aware with/of my infatuation and admiration of Kendrick Lamar. How I see it is: your iPod/radio/speakers/etc. thirsts and hungers for great-organic-music and this mixtape embodies all of the necessary nutrients and stimulants. I don't know where Kendrick Lamar has been all my music-loving-life, but I'm overly grateful he's here now. Beyond....beyond appreciative of his presence in the music world and more importantly, my headphones! Press play and soak up all that substance.

VIDEO: KENDRICK LAMAR x SOUTHPAW [LIVE]

Filmed by: Slick Jackson
Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of missing this performance. For some reason, I got the dates mixed up; I thought he performed on the 15th, not the 17th. Meanwhile, I had the flyer all handy on my iTouch. Would've been lovely to see him perform a second time; he is beyond amazing. Much love to Slick for the visual and to the crowd for vibing extremely well with Kendrick.

VIDEO: KENDRICK LAMAR x "HIII POWER"

Words cannot fully express my appreciation for Kendrick Lamar as an artist. His music has served as melodic therapy to me countless times and I am sure it has to many people. I like my music conscious, therefore, he appeals to me in a sense unimaginable to most. I had the privilege of watching him perform live; his essence is very powerful. OMG, no words. I, for one, am delighted with the presence of revolutionary music. Not just from him, but from Lupe as well. If there are any other artists out there that I failed to mention, forgive me. Oh, I would like to add that I am especially delighted to learn that this track was produced by J.Cole .
Watch, indulge, enjoy.

OLD, BUT RELEVANT AS FUCK

On the night of Kendrick Lamar 's show, I was beyond glad to have my nugget there. Y'know? 'Cause it's rare that I'm around friends who actually KNOW how to take pictures. Most of the time, I'm the one doing the picture taking and when I ask them to take a picture of me, they don't know how to locate the view finder or they position the camera in such a way they only capture the lower part of my body. Ugh! Just pure chaos. lol shit is............fucking ridiculous. But, yeah, I've been meaning to ask her to send me these pictures via email, but she hasn't been active on twitter lately.

DARE TO BE ENTHUSED

Who wouldn't be fucking excited about having the opportunity to see one of their favorite artists perform? In case you haven't guessed it yet, I'm speaking in reference to the Kendrick Lamar 's show this past Sunday. Much love to FSM for the freebie. FSM is a promotional team responsible for bring names like Yelawolf , Big K.R.I.T. and Wiz Khalifa , just to name a few, to Greensboro. I have so much love and respect for 'em. Moving on to the show, my homeboy, Rich P came all the way from NY to bless the stage with his presence. This was my first time watching him perform; he was AMAZING! He made me feel exceptionally proud. lol I swear.
Schoolboy Q came along with Kendrick and the two put on an amazing performance. Words cannot explain. His passion was so evident on stage, I mean, I'm kind of speechless.
I'm gonna post a combination of relevant and irrelevant photos from Sunday night and post the photos from the performance at a later time 'cause I'm not through putting my watermark on 'em.

Kendrick and I. :D

The rest of the photos should be up by the end of the week.

RELAX AND TAKE NOTES

Sometime last week, the same day I filmed "the royal ramble vol.5", I did a little self-shoot. Not sure if it was before or after. lol so if you glance at these pics and think, "ummmm that attire looks a little familiar!!!" , you know why.
Last night, I attended Kendrick Lamar show courtesy of FSM. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I do not drive, I didn't get to attend the meet and greet which was at an earlier time in the day. Ugh! Didn't even get to tell how enamoured I am with him and his music. His performance was B A N A N A S!!!!!!!! He literally dug deep, reached in, and shared his essence with the entire crowd. I have NEVER witnessed a performance more amazing than his. Pictures from that will be coming realllll soon. LOL. I'm fortunate to have some good shots, I was too busy rocking out. Oh and I got some video footage as well.

I'm almost down the list of artists that I want to see perform: I need to see Chris Brown , Nipsey Hussle, Mickey Factz, and Tyga . Though I don't think Tyga would have much stage presence. I still wanna see him live! And a small part of me really wants to see Beyonce perform. Ahhh I just know she gives her all on stage. Anyway doe.
