TEFFILOSOPHY VOL. 20 x MOTHER OF IMAGINATION

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I had every intention on titling this post: "Who Died And Made You The Mother Of Imagination?" but decided against it, seeing as it's entirely too long.

Teffilosophy — a segment of mine I had to revive, as I have several topics of interest arise in my absence of updating this blog. Plus, I really needed to take a break from the influx of style to bring in the substance. After all, what (the heck) is style without substance? Anyhow. A lot of you who are closely familiar with the fabric of my blog are with the knowledge that its content can span anywhere from a simple outfit post, to self-portraits, to intricate verbal dispositions. The last being the core function of this segment. I have taken the liberty of writing this article-like bit in an effort to express my P.O.V on certain matters of my choosing. Some are brief, others, quite the contrary; this is more the former, than it is the latter. Without further ado:

Teenagers and 20-somethings are staunch in their belief that adults are without imagination so much so that they frequent the ideology at a rate that causes me great discomfort. A declaration often used as a means to counterattack any form imposition against their vaulted and valued sense of expression and Being, surely. It is the only thing capable of driving such a foolish misconception to conception — threatening the structure of one's sense of expression and Being, as it is the birthplace of their comfort and confidence as individuals.

Nearly every facet of our function comes to fruition as a consequence of the creative mind of an adult, as well as that of our doing, despite age. Television, telephones, the Internet, elevators and so on; all are products of the imaginative effort of adults; an actuality the younger age brackets work so fervently to expunge. And, I mean, unless you spontaneously combusted into existence, you are without good reason to discredit that which came before you.

Besides, the bitter assignment of a lack of imagination to adults, or anyone else for that matter, speaks more of your lacking, than it does, theirs.

I contest that imagination comes as a consequence of allowing oneself to be expanded and knowledgeable on the Self, as well others. It is the concept of going to; then, going beyond; meeting, then exceeding. Imagination can span from how a baby conquers the act of crawling from the ground to the couch, to preparing a dish in 20 different ways. That is to say: anyone is capable of the conception of a sense of imagination. Something to keep in mind next time you think to make a deprecatory statement regarding one's ability to, well, imagine. Peace.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.19 x TEFF, THE TERROR

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I am a self-serving Artist. I am a Servant to myself and to my Art alone. I do not create for You; I create so that I may Be and breathe, and do so, easily.

My quest is self-fulfillment. I must maintain allegiance with the Self as well my as Artistic integrity. I will not lend my allegiance to an audience knowing that the consequence is an inevitable loss of a sense of self. I must remain diligent in my pursuit. I mustn't allow my quest be derailed by nonsensical frivolities. I must remain open to all that makes me feel Love and whole and engaged and focused. This is something like a manifesto - The Expressionist's Manifesto, if you will. Too often, I have observed and experienced the crowd's hunger; their unending ability to remain dissatisfied. I have concluded that happiness is derived from selfish acts. Even the selfless are selfish. Selfless acts are often an extension of one's selfishness. To desire good fortune for others so that you, too, may equally be granted the same Peace is selfish. It is not a terrible thing to be selfish, no. It's all in the manner in which you go about it, however. Does this philosophy bring you terror? Good. Terror incites fear and often you will that fear is as great a motivator as Love. But it must first be manipulated. Be slow to speak, be quick to think. Peace.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.18 x A TALE TOLD BY TIME

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us There will come a time where you will set a flame and attempt to burn the blame.
There will come a time where you will bear fame where you once bore pain.
There will come a time where you will bear pain where you once bore fame.
There will come a time where you will rise where you were once coldly slain.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.17 x EMINENCE, INTERRUPTED

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I am nothing; I am nobody. Before you think this a consequence of excessive indulgence in the abyss of negativity, consider what is said of nothing and what is said of nobody. I am not, therefore I am.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.15 x "THERE ARE PEOPLE"

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
There are people - there are people who do not Love - there are people who do not Love because - there are people who do not Love because they fear - there are people who do not Love because they fear pain- there are people who do not Love because they fear pain in the form of the deepening of their Spirits.

There are people - there are people who judge - there are people who judge because - there are people who judge because they are bound - there are people who judge because they are bound to the constraints of criticism.

There are people - there are people who seem - they are people who seem because - there are people who seem because it is less easier - they are people who seem because it is less easier to the grandeur of being.

There are people - there are people who are blessed - there are people who are blessed to have known - there are people who are blessed to have known Love - there are people who are blessed to have known Love like Love is to be known.

There are people - there are people who do not know - there are people who do not wealth - there are people who do not wealth because - there are people who do not know wealth because they are blinded - there are people who do not know wealth because they are blinded by riches.

There are people - there are people who Love - there are people who Love because - there are people who Love because they know - there are people who Love because they know nobody ever has as much power as the one who has Love.

There are people - there are people who fear - there are people who fear less - there are people who fear less because - there are people who fear less because they know - there are people who fear less because they know Love.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.13 x THE FASHION TRIFECTA

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
My generation constitutes of individuals who lack, amongst many things, an active spirit of discernment. This fault is evident in nearly every facet of its(my generation) character and conduct, namely fashion. In light of the heightened indulgence in social-media seen this day and age, as well as the fact society is partly centered on the existence of blogs and its authors, I've employed my capacity to observe and aim to briefly explain what I have gathered shortly. First, contrary to popular belief, I am not as enticed or consumed with fashion as most would and--as I am sure--have perceived as it may seem. My concern mostly lies with creating proportion, expression of self-realization and overall appeal.
As the title states: the fashion trifecta--which I constructed after taking into consideration the various forms of self-expression present in the fashion-world. Most people have, seemingly, unwittingly succeeded in overlooking; it is constituted of what most know as "the fashionista" and terms that I have coined as "the stylista" and "the trendista". I'll provide a brief definition and use some well-known bloggers as examples.
The fashionista/-o: defined as an individual who is conscious of the art of fashion and passionately, as well actively expresses it through acquiring intelligence on designer names and textile-knowledge alike.
Example: this is difficult given that most would characterize themselves with this title, are often the complete opposite. This facet of the fashion-trifecta causes me much distaste. As much as I admire one's passion, for anything as moving as the art of fashion and style, moderation is key. An example can be any individual seen wearing designer brands from head-to-toe. They are often defined by the names they wear, rather than the substance they hold. This individual may announce the name of the designer he or she is sporting prior to announcing theirs. None are more fond of a false sense of pride and a starved sense of freedom like most fashion-folks.

The stylista/-o: defined as an individual who is in possession of a sense of style, carved out of extensive self-knowledge. May employ both current and old-school perceptions of fashion and style on a day-to-day basis. All-in-all, one whose confidence radiates inward-outward.
Example: Karla from Karlascloset.com, Anjelica from Modejunkie.com and Raez of Cheapthrillsss.com are brilliant examples. These three women do an effortlessly elegant job at employing both personal taste and "what's in" in their daily wardrobe. This facet of the fashion-trifecta is my most favorite in that highlights the individual more than it does the brand they're clothed in.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.12 x EMINENCE OVER FAME

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
Thirst for fame is the least esteemed greed of the human soul. The more most thirst for fame, the more Given the choice, I would favor eminence over fame.

While some might claim that eminence cannot be achieved without fame, I beg to differ. It is entirely possible for someone to attain a crown of eminence without being widely known. My maternal grandmother, for example. She is an amazing, phenomenal woman with a legacy that precedes her. Though she passed away roughly 3 years ago, she left behind her strong will and zeal behind for her children and grandchildren to inherit. That is, in itself, greatness.

In light of my generation's undeterred degree of ambition, I favor the efforts of those who are driven by the desire to create and excel, simply for the sake of it, than those who are driven to compare and compete. I will not deny you your right to be competitive, given that it is encrypted in the nature of every living being, however, it is the manner in which most exercise their right to compare and to be competitive that rifles up my undergarments. I believe that those who do not seek to obtain fame while in their pursuit for a greater level of existence are often rewarded beyond unfathomable measures. Fame, to me, is of a lesser caliber in comparison to eminence. It is far too easy to acquire fame, but to attain eminence requires timelessness in one's talent, character and/or conduct.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.11 x STRIVE IN STRIFE

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
First and foremost, I thrive off of wielding power. It takes a conscious mind to admit that and fear the potentiality of scrutiny. Nothing wrong with wielding power, it's the matter you exercise your right to wield power that tends to hold fault.

As I disclosed early in the month, I had begun working on my photography project for the Autumn and Winter seasons; unfortunately, I have to consider postponing its execution to next Summer. Bear in mind that this decision was not entirely on the premise of preference. I felt sort-of compelled by the feeble actions of others to do so. However, this halt has driven me back to the drawing board and I am refurnishing some ideas, as well as concepts. It pains me deeply to have to do this, but it is what's best. Both for me and the nature of my art. This is where my mention of power comes into play. I anticipated the coming of this project heavily, only to be left feeling quite hopeless and helpless, and most dreadfully, powerless.

I seldom share details of my strife. I seldom personalize. It is important for me to keep most details of my personal-life just that--personal. It is entirely my choice to suffer in silence. I do not encourage that behavior in others, but I like to believe I have grown strong enough to deal. The beauty of striving in midst of strife, to me, lies entirely with the results. I've observed that amongst its slew of benefits, endurance rewards the soul of its possessor. After turning the age of 18, I began feeling the pressure of adulthood and embracing that desire to succeed and attain my own design of eminence and self-fulfillment by the age of 25. Now that I am approaching 22, I have decided it's best to inhale, exhale and return to creating entirely for the pleasure it yields. Along with releasing those inhibitions, I've learned to smile more often. A smile often serves as the greatest restraint. Whether it be the midst of pressure or stress. Sometimes you have to smile to keep from committing murder. I believe one problem we each deal with, is the idea of applying nonsensical pressures on ourselves to succeed beyond our wildest dreams. Do not get me wrong; an immense degree of discipline is necessary while in pursuit of anything worth having. Envision the life you want for yourself, map it out, attain the necessary instruments and pursue it diligently.

THROUGH LOVE AND BEYOND

A friend of mine asked me the other night if I had ever been in love? What did it feel like? Or could I guess what it would feel like. To which I responded: no, can't say that I have, however, I have cared for someone very deeply and still do till this day. I can say that being in their presence or speaking with them induces the feeling of being elevated to an entirely new level of existence. You feel consumed with an inexplicable sense of excitement and empowerment. Love can be and is a great inspiration. Then, she cried. Lol I suppose she feels like she's been missing out on that feeling. That's partly why we pursue love; we all desire to feel something that varies in explanation each time it is spoken of. With each explanation exceeding the ones that came prior in grandiosity. That I speak of Love often is because I receive it often and I wish to be afflicted and consumed by it, always. We often speak our afflictions into existence. I do my best to give it often, as well. Love must be welcomed with twice the degree it is given. But, I digress. These photographs were taken over the summer at a park in the Bronx. (won't mention the name, but if you recognize it, much love to you). It's crazy 'cause I am using this pictures in the manner I initially intended to. On this day, which I cannot remember, my idea was to wear that shirt in two different ways and make a post about how dynamic an item of clothing as mere as a shirt can be. Oh well, here it goes.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.10 x DIVISION WITHIN COLOR-LINES | BET HIP-HOP AWARDS

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
Over the years, the BET network has undergone some changes most of which I have not necessarily been in agreement with, however, I still find myself delighting in the BET Hip-Hop awards. As I'm certain many others hold similar sentiments More specifically, the cyphers. A collective display of raw and irrefutable talent. The re-introduction of old-school artists, the cyphers, as well as performances are the usual contributing actors to the collective appeal of the show. But, this year, as well as last, there was something missing: the category catering to the acknowledgment of African artists. I did not watch the awards in its entirety, however, I was able to watch the cyphers via BET.com. It was painfully brought to my attention by an article I just read a short while ago, which explained the nature and solution of this matter in exemplary detail:

Let me get this straight. BET goes into Africa (with over 800million people) and establishes its subsidiaries with the obvious goal of making profit from Africans. Yet, within the USA, it cannot dedicate even one minute of air time in its actual award shows for the very Africans it solicits and makes monies off of? If you will not air African artists at your BET Awards or BET Hip-hop Awards show, why patronize these acts? You are already in Africa so what exactly is the point of a nomination on a BET Awards show or making our artists go through a BET Hip-hop Awards Cypher presentation and yet BET Networks does nothing with it?

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.9 x THE THRILL OF MYSTERY

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
Mystery? Who is she? She is the sole element of attraction, the driving force that entices all of mankind. She is the spell that compels you to seek and desire life and all that it is and all that it could and should be. To explore, to live, and to love. I hold the claim that the element of mystery, along with other things, is the catalyst to most relationships and soul-to-soul interaction in general. That you seek someone out because you desire to know what it is about them that captivates and commands your attention so imperiously. Mankind thrives off of the thrill of mystery so much so that even when in the absence of it, we seek it. It is that which dictates our conduct. The reason we desire foreign experiences with people, love, food, art, etc. Mystery; what a beauty. Speaking for myself, I don't delight in predictability; it sours situations and extracts the element of delight. It's like reading a book, you delve in three pages deep and can determine the course of the plot. Do you still hold the desire to proceed and explore the book further? No.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.8 x THE ESSENCE OF SUBTLETY

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
Dwelling deep in the era consumed with dreamers and dream-chasers, the spirit of competition is undoubtedly at an all time high. Egos at war, the power of vanity places spells upon the souls of those who are most open to it and all-in-all, a generation collectively on a quest for relevance. I respect the spirit of a hustler that dwells in the element of subtlety. For example: The Weeknd's movement is subtle, yet progressive. Right along with Jesse Boykins III's romantic movement. What I admire most in others is their ability to impact without speaking, create without falsely clinging to the idea of grandiosity and elevating without seeking the destruction of the progression of others. Oftentimes I am compelled to watch incessant declarations of "I'm a boss. Making moves outchea" or some variation of that statement slither down my timeline and news feed. If you are indeed making moves, you need not speak on 'em, but rather act and let your audience see. "The strong move in silence". I'm a stay-in-my-own-lane kind of individual. I seldom seek the company of others. I don't look to others to measure my level of success. You shouldn't think to measure your level of success in comparison to others. My chief concern is superseding the achievements of the person I was yesterday.
Subtlety in business: Another eye-sore I tend to witness often is the art of name-dropping. I observe people's comfort with residing in the shadows of someone whom they perceive to be at a higher level than they are. How do you expect to be great while living in the shadow of someone else's greatness? You are failing miserably if you delight in doing so. Complacency breeds failure. Stay in the shadows long enough and you'll grow to blend in. Step out and stand strong.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.6 x LOVE | LUST THEORY

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
I've dedicated some time to rediscovering the supposed distinction
between the art of love and lust and the methods in which both are expressed. Before I go on, I'd like to go forth as to retract every statement I've made comparing the two. Some say it's the duration, with love superceding lust, some say depth of sincerity and so on. I have the conviction lust is a lot more sincere. Any emotion evoked unvoluntarily is sincere. As is love, but much thought and pressure is applied to love by its practitioners. The definition is often altered, hence, it is often misrepresented by most, making it lose some portions of its sincerity. For the most part, the definition of lust is definite. In terms of duration, who is to say lust is not short-lived love? Or that love is not long-live lust? For a relationship to thrive and prosper, it's imperative that one must be sexually attracted to their partner; considering the fact that sexual attraction is the defining factor of the art of lust. I also have the conviction that both evoke and are filled with equal amounts of passion. The heart is the legitimate-mother of both. Besides, how often have you felt either emotion towards someone and questioned it?
Yes, lust is an emotion. It's engineered by the strength of passion
and sincerity, hence, it is an emotion. We seemingly have little to no control over choosing our whom or what we are attracted to. The heart is wild, powerful, irrational and illogical, therefore, it controls the wildest of all emotions; love, lust. I would include admiration, but it can be mothered by either, or. One shouldn't feel compelled to justify the morality of either or to expect one to yield more joy than the other and so on. In life, love, and lust equally, all that matters, for the most part, is that there's passion and sincerity. It is certain that love precedes lust, and lust precedes love. I say that to say this: despite of whichever consumes you, try to keep an open mind.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.5 x THE THIIIRD ELEMENT, BY THE EXPRESSIONIST

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
[Revised on: 11-8-11]
Have you attempted to write a poetic-prose about the self? It's not as easy as it may seem. Especially when you try to achieve some brand of order to keep from confusing your audience. You want it to leave this permanent imprint on the reader. Sort of pull the reader in and enclose 'em within its literary curtains. Initially, I philosophised this in solitude, so adapting it to suit the reader poses as a severe struggle. Do read on.

I am the 3rd element. This self-actualization philosophy was conceived shortly after conducting a self-shoot this past Saturday, 7-23-2011. To those of you who are unaware, water is, accepted by most as the 3rd element. The number 3 stands as a symbol of luck and is, indeed, most favorite number for many more reasons that need not be mentioned. Well, I suppose it would permit room for a better understanding if I did mention a few. The number 3, in many cases, symbolizes the unity of the mind, body and the spirit. This significance has held relevance consistent throughout history, but to me it symbolizes my pursuit of self-enlightenment, as well as self-fulfilment and my need to establish a stronger bond between the self and the self-that-examines-the-self. The-self-that-examines-the-self, to me, is an alias for the spirit. Furthermore, the element water, I feel, is representative of the fluidity of thoughts and emotions. I feel and express my emotions as freely as they come to me. Hence, I am primarily governed by them, whether voluntarily or involuntarily. Any emotion evoked involuntarily is fueled by passion; rendering it sincere. Conversely, any emotion evoked voluntarily is either false in a nature or a defense mechanism.
Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
The number 3 is the second triangular number--the triangle, numerologically speaking, is symbolic of creativity, proportion and ascension; 3 key things I believe that I possess, as well as pursue. The triangle, also representative of sacred trinity: the mind, body and soul/spirit --the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit -- Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, etc.

I chose to revise this on my birth primarily because of the date: 11-8-11. 8 subtracted from 11 equates 3 and conversely, 11 subtracted from 8 equates -3. The date, in itself, is golden.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.4 x THE MATERIALIST VS. THE FASHION-CONNOSSIEUR

Image Hosted by Imageshack.us
Some time ago, I tweeted extensively about the distinction between individuals who characterize themselves as fashion-heads versus actual dedicated fans of fashion. How I see it is: if you're not equipped with the knowledge of the different species of fabrics, textures, myriads of patterns, stitches, etc., please refrain from spewing, " I have a fashion for passion" out of your mouth. Honestly, I come across a lot of "blogs", specifically on tumblr, and there's seemingly a consistency in their disclaimers. "H&M, Forever 21...I just LOVE fashion". First of all, the devil wears Forever 21. Then, there's "Gucci, Prada, Louie*, that's all I'm about." First of all, it's spelt "Louis". With an S. The S is silent. It's French. Secondly, the definition of fashion is not restricted within the realms of Forever 21, H&M, Urban Outfitters or anything of that sort. Neither is it restricted within the realms of Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and so on. Many fail to acknowledge that fashion is art, therefore it knows no limits. That same confused bunch often mistake admiration of an outfit with the substance behind it. There's materialism, then there's passion-filled-admiration. Most self-proclaimed fashion-heads are overly-dedicated materialists. Not saying that fashion-connossieurs are not materialistic, but their adoration for the art of fashion dives so deep, they go as far as learning the skeleton of it. The connossieur prides his/herself on wielding knowledge of the fabric they're wearing, the materialist only cares to know whom designed it and what year, and so on and so forth. Price doesn't determine worth, nor does it determine quality. Besides, most of the time, you're paying for the brand-name and not for the actual clothing item. Excuse me if I got too deep. Actually, don't. Perhaps, you should replace "materialistic" and every variation of it with "surperficial."

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.3 x EPIPHANIES IN NIGHTMARES

The picture above is part of some photograph-series I desperately need to post in its entirety. Bear with me.

I just had an epiphany, I need to go to Tiffany's. Ha! Sike, nah.
I've been writing about the idea that most people paint a picture of their preference in the other sex, but somehow manage to pursue and acquire someone who possesses qualities that are absolutely opposite. That was like, my brief overshadowing statement to brief you in on what's to come. Last night, I dreamt that I had an apartment of my own and sought out a roommate. Long-story-short, I ended up rooming with a cripple. Or should I say handicapped? I'm not sure if either term is derogatory. If it is, please accept my apologies in advance. Anyways. For some odd reason, I felt the need to create an extreme comfort zone for him. So, while he was out, I crept into his room and saw this image he sketched. Or was it a sculpture? I can't remember. Anyways, the image was either a male or a bald female whose eyes were, well, for lack of a better word, lazy. Its chest was embellished with tattoos and the skin between its thumb and index finger bore puzzle-pieces-like-tattoos. Not your usual puzzle piece. Appeared to be very intricate, web-like and also very dark in color. Its legs were missing. Severed, actually. Picture a mannequin with its legs evidently severed off. Here comes the bizarre part. I took it upon myself, to acquire the tattoos as seen on the body of the sculpture or sketch and have my legs severed as well. For some reason, I had straight-black-wavy-hair in my dream. Ha! As if. I willfully mutulated other parts of my body, can't remember clearly, to fit the image of this sketch or--sculpture. So, Daniel returns home. I believe that was his name. Turns out the sketch he had in his room was an image of that consisted of all the components he absolutely despised in a person. I greeted him warmly as he rolled through the door and he stared back at me with a face stained with absolute disgust. He appeared insulted. Like, absolutely angry that his perception of beauty was blatantly being insulted by my mere presence. Ironic how he's crippled, yet he dislikes fellow cripples. So now, here I am, severed legs, a body embellished with tattoos that I wouldn't necessarily acquire if it were entirely up to me and I am completely undesirable by the very person I was trying to please. How many times have you fallen victim to this very situation? Oh, feel free to metaphorically synthesize the above statements. Once upon a time, you've changed some aspect of yourself to appeal to someone else's idea of beauty? Both knowingly and unknowingly? Either way, it's usually not a pleasant place. My dream, for the most part, is a perfect representative of that whole idea that most people tend to hate others simply because they see something that mirrors a behavior they hate in themselves. Y'know? Like I said, I've been working on an analytical-prose dedicated to the underlying reasons behind why people paint a picture of their preference in the opposite sex, but never strive to fulfill a relationship with someone who possesses these preferred qualities. I have a friend who glorifies a woman in her most-natural-form and speaks highly of his desires for one. Blah blah blah, he ends up with stank-ghetto-gutter-ass-toads. Doesn't quite compute to proper logic to me. Speaking for myself, I don't have a list of preferences which must hold weight before I pursue whomever further, however, I am seeking a complement. I know a lot of people tend to say, "I want someone who is like me in male/female form"--no. I've observed and have grown to believe that you are more likely to clash with someone who is similar to you, than you are with someone who is your complete opposite.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.2 x HIP-POP CRIPPLED HIP-HOP

Hip-hop has been evolving and dissolving. I cherish, respect and
appreciate what little substance is left of this now delicate genre of
music. More importantly, the individuals whose strife is dedicated to
bringing forth change and enhancement to future productions. It's a
burden that most wear and wear it with pride. Admirable in their confident and poetic nature. Yes. Poetic. My definition of hip-hop as a genre is poetry or storytelling set to a beat. Poetry is the art of painting vivid pictures with words. It teaches you acceptance, exposes the artists to facets of themselves, while equally exposing those same facets to the artists' audience. Art as a whole teaches you acceptance. Teaches the artist acceptance of their gift. Teaches the audience acceptance of art's presence. Artists, despite their craft, are very God-like in their ability to breathe life and death into their creation. These artists could very easily succumb to the pressure of watering down the content of their art in the name of album sales, but they're aware, there is no honor in that.

TEFFILOSOPHY VOL.1 x THE BREAKDOWN

Well, to this blog, it's Vol.1, but to my tumblr , it's vol.3. These are notes/analyses that I write to myself, usually on a random piece of a paper, my phone or my iTouch. I decided, what good are my words and knowledge if I do not share them? Ya know? Anyways, on to the knowledge.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I’ve been seeing this quote everywhere lately, “lies always change, but the truth always stays the same” No, I strongly beg to differ. Let me explain. Your perception is your opinion and your opinion is your truth; that you have an opinion towards something or someone, it is because YOU believe it to be true. Correct? Now, say for example, you believe that if you were to love someone unconditionally, and genuinely and express it in a way you’re certain they will appreciate, they will never leave you. But then, they eventually leave you. Does your truth not change? Another example: you hold the opinion that Lady Gaga performs terribly live, which you gathered after seeing her perform live several times, but then the next couple of live shows, her performances blow you away. Does your truth not change? Another example; if I am wearing a red shirt, it is your truth and mine that the shirt is in fact red, but then I dye it green. Does that truth not change? I say that to say this: do not get carried away with the placement of words and assume; dissect a statement ‘til you fully comprehend its meaning. The same when you find yourself in any situation; allow yourself to seek a greater truth, a greater meaning.
